I did... And I have two guesses upon its source, given the conversations I have had.

But if certain individuals did not receive anything, I believe that discredits one of them considerably.

A bouquet of flowers.

Though their meanings were a bit... unconventional.

What's the meaning?

Some of them meant messages such as 'I am Dangerous' or 'Falsehood'.

Others hold the meaning, 'I'll Still Be Waiting' and 'Separation'. Though the flowers that mean 'Separation' could still yet mean 'Thoughts of the Departed'.

But if you did not receive anything, and neither have other individuals I have spoken to, I shall take it that the flowers did not come from the departed.

... That's... kind of a depressing bouquet. [ he had no idea flowers could be this bleak. wow. ] If they're not from the dead, then... Who? And why?

.... that shall be between me and them. I would speak more on it, if I could. But for now, I shall err on the side of caution.

[he seems content though.]

I believe the general message of the bouquet to be relevant to us all, though. Not that we did not already know we are in danger...

But I think some things are moving this week.

... Yeah. I think I've got an idea what they might be referring to with falsehoods.

Well... I was given an unmarked key.

And that key led me to a room of a staff member.

Estelle asked me to look into it with her.

Indeed. I ventured with my crane today.

I would not be surprised if each of the staff members will have a personal room to investigate.

However I also do not believe that these invitations are of their own will.

... Definitely not. Which begs the question why we got these invites, doesn't it?

Mechanisms are moving even outside of the staff's control. And that does not sit well with me.

... Considering everything, I don't think there's a lot that's actually within the staff's control. And I think that's probably by design.

[unsaid]

It would be rather similar to our previous positions - enough power to provide surveillance and keep the wheels turning, but not enough to make significant change. Does that sound right?

... It could be. But somehow, I think it's worse than what either of us went through. Or at least a lot stricter on a lot of levels.

Could you at some point reveal your face of your own volition?

... Yeah. Starting not that long into it, either, for people we trusted.

Pretty sure these guys try that and they get struck by lightning.

We are not meant to know who they are, for one reason or another.

And they are actively attempting to deceive us... and for the moment, it might be safest to let them.

Right. ... The only thing I can think of is that it has to be part of their contracts with the big boss. But to what end? And if that's the case, who's giving us these keys?

[ and actively sabotaging the deceit. ]

I would not be surprised if they are playing a game of their own, with their own collection of hostages or some equivalent.

And now they are beginning to be set up to fail.

Yeah. I've been thinking something like that, too, but... It feels too straightforward.

[ there's a pause ]

You get to ask the other group about what they found yet?

Not as of yet. [or i'm waiting on tags so i'll have to retcon this later]

But I did check in with the group from the week that I went on my excursion...

They believe that the paper in the lobby denoting the - ah, stink...? May have been their hint.

... Yeah. Estelle... told me about that one.
