No, nothing so big and lively. [Well, lively with shadow-people currently. But that gives a pretty good idea of what this place is supposed to be like.]

I did visit a desert outpost once, while on my journey away from the castle... but it was much smaller.

[Also, the giant skeleton really is a game-changer.]

I've never been to a desert, but there's a big tourist attraction called the Gold Saucer in one. From what I've heard, it's a lot different from a market.

What kind of tourist attraction is it?

Uh... A bunch of stuff. I know it's got a theme park, chocobo races and a theater, at least...? Might have more. It's a pretty recent build.

Is it like the carnival at the prism? That place was so fun! Oh, but what are chocobos?

Yeah, kind of. There's roller coasters. [ there are no deadly clowns(?) however. cloud has to think about how to explain chocobos ] They're these... big birds we use for transportation. They can carry a person or pull carriages. Most people who live near or in cities use cars now, but they're still popular.

I wish I could see it...

Maybe someday. They've got a nasty kick, though, so you ever see a giant bird in the wild, don't stick around too close.

Oh, I know! Sometimes they have axes or hammers for beaks, too...

Yes, of course! Not all birds are dangerous.

It was worth asking. [ cannot blame him with all these weird ass worlds ] Chocobos are mostly dangerous when they're untamed, but we do have some bird monsters. A lot different than the regular animals, though. So maybe it's the same thing.
