Oh... not really, just... trying to think about how all this stuff is supposed to work. Like, the going back and forth between here and where the dead are.

Well... The staff travel by shadow portals. It's probably connected through those, if nothing else.

How were you able to get into that guy's room? I know Jason said there was a... magic elevator, but that didn't just show up for you out of nowhere, did it?

We were on the elevator and the P for penthouse just showed up. So we pushed it.

But it didn't let us in until Jason went a floor down to get something the shadows had dragged and found one of those hallway doors open. After he went through the whole mess, he said there was some kind of shadow portal, and it let him in there. He opened it for me.

[ cloud sounds annoyed and it is ENTIRELY because jason did all that while leaving him up there ]

He flashed a flashlight at the penthouse door and shadows dragged it down through the floor.

Oh. Hm... did the light do anything to the shadows?

Annoyed them, mostly. It's a one ticket flashlight. I wouldn't expect it to do too much. But they got annoyed when we had the lights on in the security room, too.

I guess that makes sense. I wonder if that sun necklace they had this week would be helpful for that...

I'm hoping so, otherwise I wasted three tickets.

Yeah. It's a lot of light attacks, basi ally. Don't know if it'll do anything, but it's worth having just in case.

O...kay... um, well, what do you think about all these parts that are blocked off with shadows and stuff now? Because... Estelle and I were talking about the contracts yesterday, and how the wording specifically said we had to be able to get to the lobby at checkout time...

Yeah. I mentioned that possibility when we got the contracts. Wording's specific enough without stating that access to the lobby would be open.

The shadows haven't spread so far, but there's no telling if that'll last.

Ugh, I hadn't thought about that part that much before this, but now that we're seeing how they can block off specific places... yeah.

We'll check to see if the shadows spread before panicking, but it's something to keep in mind. Jason bought another flashlight in case that might help against them.

Maybe. Gift shops usually closed on the weekend anyway, so I doubt we're getting any more tickets.
