Oh... not really, just... trying to think about how all this stuff is supposed to work. Like, the going back and forth between here and where the dead are.
How were you able to get into that guy's room? I know Jason said there was a... magic elevator, but that didn't just show up for you out of nowhere, did it?
We were on the elevator and the P for penthouse just showed up. So we pushed it.
[ as one does. ]
But it didn't let us in until Jason went a floor down to get something the shadows had dragged and found one of those hallway doors open. After he went through the whole mess, he said there was some kind of shadow portal, and it let him in there. He opened it for me.
[ cloud sounds annoyed and it is ENTIRELY because jason did all that while leaving him up there ]
Annoyed them, mostly. It's a one ticket flashlight. I wouldn't expect it to do too much. But they got annoyed when we had the lights on in the security room, too.
No clue. Apparently the endgame was different for everyone here. Back in the Realm, everyone expected a fight, but the biggest thing they fought were some... weird box spiders.
I mean, our whole thing was supposed to be like, a... relationship study... or something? Killing wasn't even supposed to be part of it, people just did it because they wanted prizes and that vampire was a jerk...
Uh. Well, it was... when we signed up for the thing, the agreement was that they'd give us this specific wish each of us wanted in return for us being part of it. But then when we got there they said there weren't going to be enough resources to be able grant everyone's wishes or something? So I think some of them were trying to take out the competition or whatever to make sure they got theirs... and then one just panicked because of the other people dying...
But, um, during the second trial, all the dead people suddenly came back out of this tree, and... uh... revenge killed some of the culprits who then also came back a few minutes later...
A-anyway, that was where the essay thing came in, because we all made the argument that the crime of murder didn't apply anymore because the victims weren't dead, and we just wanted the whole stupid thing to end instead of going through with the execution and everything. And they read and listened to our answers and said okay, so... that was that...
[ so yeah, this was why he was trying to make this argument when you stopped being dead... it worked before.... ]
And then everyone got their wishes anyway, I guess? Or... theoretically had the chance to get them, but I think mine is just cursed or something.
Ugh... w-well, it was a few days before my first official trial in court was supposed to happen, so I wanted to just kind of... instantly already have all the courtroom experience I'd need to make sure I did everything perfectly and made my pops proud. ...And then once I was in the thing everyone started killing each other so I had to do the crappy messed up trials there, and I was worrying that maybe my stupid wish had caused the entire thing because that was the courtroom experience I was getting.
Then when it was over they just gave us these... coupons... that we were supposed to somehow be able to redeem for whatever they'd promised us? I don't know how that was supposed to work... but anyway, I was home for three days, and then it was finally going to be time for that trial the next day, so I took the coupon out of the envelope that morning to see if I could figure out what I was supposed to do with it, and then that same day all of this started. So...

Okay. [ he hates everything about that, sebastian, why are two weeks so WEIRD. ] Why'd you think your wish is cursed?

Pretty sure it's just a shitty coincidence.
[ is the first thing he says, trying to parse. all of that wish junk. he is trying so hard not to say how lame of a wish that is, help. ]
This why you kept thinking everything you were responsible for making this place worse in the beginning?
