A creation of his does-- but he is complicit in allowing her and her sisters to do so. He means to allow them to make their attempt at bringing the end, believing that should we fail to stop it, we are unfit to exist.

...he intends to attempt to stop it, too, despite encouraging them to destroy it all. To erase his own memories along with ours and face the coming calamity unaware. We all know what the future holds, and how it was... somewhat forestalled.
