Being misled about the nature of the Realm, mostly. [ a little dry. he'll step into the planetarium and fully expect emet to follow, though, so emet can appreciate the starry sky!! yay ] The whole thing was fake. A program. But it was programmed to make us believe we could find the source of the issue with it, and so every week it'd give us just a little bit more to find.
... You know the simulation room? The Realm was like that. You're so deep in it, you don't remember that it's not real. [ and also they were programmed to not remember, but that's getting too detailed. ] In the end, it was always about to end. But people couldn't get out of the simulation if they were dead, so we ended up working hard to bring them back so we could all get out alive. ... Then the the guy who programmed it gave us one last congratulations before handing out prizes.
[ that last part he says with the most disgusted tone
He did. Was some kind of... experiment. [ he hates all scientists, actually. ] Pain in my ass. Guy wasn't even there for us to fight. Left behind a projection instead.
Didn't think it important to share. He did say it got out of hand, but... I don't know how much of that was true and how much of it was him being an asshole.

So-- nothing that occurred in this place was truly real? If you were seeking a problem that did not exist, how did it end?
